Our first session that we went to was Hiki No at 8 to 9 o'clock . Our presenter was Robert Pennybacker. The session was a lecture format and the overall theme of the session was editing, script writing, and how to use words. I learned that the first cut is never perfect it takes many different cuts to make the final product close to perfect. I also learned that if you are going to put a photo into your video you should use full for those that fill up the whole screen because they are better and you can see more detail in the picture.
Our second session that we also went to was a Camera Man who was talking about how to tell a great story. I learned that when are doing a story, you have to do these three things. The first one was a "Hey!", where you get the viewers attention in the first 15 seconds of the video. Without the "Hey!" the viewer could get bored and change the channel. The second thing you must make clear is your topic or main idea, this is called the "See...". Can the viewer clearly see the topic that you are trying to present to them.? The last thing that to need in your video is a "Why?". What is your story and why should people care? In the end everything should be wrapped up in 15-20 seconds.
After about 3 more of these sessions we went up to our rooms to grab our wallets and then headed back down to the lobby to meet up with the others. For dinner we walked to Seaport Village. Herenui, Raine, Carter, and I ate Hot Wings and BBQ Wings. It was so "Ono". After dinner we went back to the hotel rooms to get dressed for the 70's Dance. I liked the dance because I was with my friends and also got to see our Pen Pals again. There was a awesome photo booth so Herenui, Carter, Raine, Kaycee, Jonathan, and I squeezedin to the booth to snap a picture and hold the memories. Till next time , Bye!
